The COVID-19 pandemic has shown the real colors of politicians – mainly, the mayors.
Let’s be real: It’s delicious to see incompetent politicians who are being reminded of their foolishness by the public who has a lot of time right now to access their social media accounts.
There are mayors who are only good at beautifying their names during election season. But when a crisis tests their localities, they suddenly become senseless and stupid chiefs who use different tactics to divert the public’s attention from their failures. They say different reasons on television and radio interviews to mitigate harsh criticisms against them. The people are not stupid, for your information.
But, of course, there are mayors who are passionate, dedicated and responsible in their jobs. They are our guiding lights in this time of darkness. COVID-19 has brought the best in them. They devise practical, realistic and effective solutions to halt the growing number of cases and support families who are under paralysis right now. They should be commended for their tireless works.
I know that it isn’t the time to play political games right now. But let’s be real: It’s delicious to see incompetent politicians who are being reminded of their foolishness by the public who has a lot of time right now to access their social media accounts. Their chances of winning reelections should decrease as the future of their respective localities are at stake. No one should see them inaugurating on June 30, 2022.
