Joe Biden Leads – By A Hair

Midnight approaches on November 6, 2020, in America, but no one is still declared as the next president.

An anxious nation – and the world – is holding its breath as Joseph R. Biden, Jr., the Democratic nominee and former vice president, is currently leading in four battlegrounds by a hair.

In the state of Georgia, Mr. Biden is leading President Donald J. Trump by more than 4,000 votes, as of 2:30 pm, November 7, 2020, Philippine Standard Time. In Arizona, the former leads his opponent by only more than 29,000 votes. The same story goes in Pennsylvania, where the former vice president is only ahead by more than 28,000 votes. And in the state of Nevada, where the Sin City is located, the president is trailing his challenger by more than 22,000 votes.

The major news organizations have not called for a winner in those four states yet – and the state of North Carolina, where President Trump is currently leading. Although, the Associated Press and Fox News Channel have both declared Mr. Biden the winner of Arizona’s 11 electoral college votes.

If Mr. Biden wins the state of Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral college votes, he becomes the 46th President of the United States. But if Mr. Trump resuscitates his lead in all four states, he will be reelected for a second term.

As Mr. Trump’s early lead in the states of Pennsylvania and Georgia has gradually evaporated, he went in front of the cameras to accuse the Democrats of fraud – an accusation that is both unsubstantiated and unfounded. But Mr. Biden is confident that by the end of the ballot counting, he will prevail as the victor.

“We’re going to win this race with a clear majority of the nation behind us,” Mr. Biden said in a primetime address on November 6.
